Conversion of your existing information: If you are currently using software to manage your business then we can almost always convert that patient information (and usually the history) into this new system. If you are using a system that is commonly used in the industry there will be no charge. Otherwise the fee is between $200.00 and $550.00 - it's never more than $550.00 The procedure is quite straight-forward; you simply send us a copy of your data ahead of time along with some examples of the patients you will want converted. We will write the conversion program in our offices and test it out using those examples as a guide. Then, the evening before the training, we will run that conversion program on-site in your office - thus the converted data is "up-to-date." Support: We do not charge for support if you are using IFILE or CFILE. If you do have a problem we want you to call. You simply call us - leave your phone number - and we call you back in 2-4 hours; that way we pay for the long-distance charges. If you are using VISION+ then we charge $1.00 per minute after the first 30 free days. You may find it hard to believe but even though we have over 1,200 locations using our software and we only get about 10 calls a day! - that's why we don't charge. Travel: Travel is free to the closest major airport. If you are beyond a three hour drive from that airport, we charge an airfare up charge. For example, if you are in Fort McMurray, you pay the airfare up charge from Edmonton. If you are out of driving distance then we fly up day one and do the demo then do the conversion that same night and then the training the next day or two. Additional Days Training: Additional training days are $250.00 plus travel expenses if necessary Annual Updates: We send them out twice a year - or more if there are legislated changes mandated between these two releases. For all products the fee is $325.00 for the first location, then $100.00 for each additional site - PLUS all taxes. If you are using the Optometric software (IFILE) this fee is mandatory. For the Optical software (CFILE or VISION+) it is optional - but if you have a serious problem and you are not using a current release we may not be able to help you. You register in December for the upcoming 12 months, if not then the fee is $650.00 for the first one, then $100.00 for each additional. All years are cumulative and not compounded for the cost, meaning after 5 years it's still $325.00 for all five years. |
